The so-called wedge base lamps on the left of the photo are types
that were commonly used in telecoms gear, at least here in the UK.
They were incandescent back then, but the same shape/size.
The lamps on the right of the photo are bi-pin bases, sometimes
given a "T" designation like T1. Different "T" numbers for different
sizes, I think.
