I have something that sounds a lot like this, except it's Z80 based.
It's the ACI-2 made by Alspa Compter Inc. It has two half-height 8"
drives, and the rest of the enclosure is not much bigger than the drives.
The motherboard sits at the bottom, and there's an opening in the
enclosure where you can get access to the RAM, CPU and other components.
