That's certainly how it came across to me, and I'm not even one of the
principals involved. You may want to have a look at your communication
style, since it appears you're generating impressions you don't intend
- unless of course you just didn't care whether you came across as
trying to be humiliating. (Or, I suppose, unless the humiliating
attitude comes so naturally to you you don't even have to try - but
that's not how you've usually come across to me, so it seems unlikely.)

Actually, from my time here, I'd say that everyone is list etiquette
cop - get excessive and various people will cluestick you for it,
roughly in proportion to the severity of the offense.
