I should really have checked the "DRUM PG CNT" entry in the service menu
before I ripped the machine apart - it was reading 9,306 - the drum is rated
for 6,000 pages, which kinda explains the scuffing and weak output...

I've done that with Maplin metal shielded RCA connectors. Only thing is, I
did it on a 6m audio cable...
