C64 game??

yep, same left to right flying, dropping bombs on targets, and enemy
planes coming in from the right IIRC - just with aircraft carriers as
you say. I have a very hazy memory of a city stage too though. Hmm.

Very simple graphics-wise compared to the C64 game I'm thinking of
though; I believe Harrier Attack was a lot earlier.
