Well, that was certainly the case for Unibus. I think all DEC Qbus boards
used the DC005, etc, ASICs, theough...

Driver : 8881 (quad 2 input NAND with open collector outputs)
Receiver : SP380 (quad 2 input NOR)

Good luck in finding either of these new today...
