I aggree that tubes are making a come back, but I don't understand what
that has to do with the quality of speakers...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that tube amplifiers sound
"different" than semiconductor amplifiers because certain harmonics are
supressed or distorted or something like that. But I don't understand
why people like that. With todays technology its simple and cheap to
build an amplifier with a bandwidth of 100KHz and a constant phase shift
over that range. Why would you listen to something less good then
"perfect" ?

Or am I completely ignorant/stupid here?
