All true, but I just remembered that even Commodore used pin-swabbers
late in the game (C-64/C-128 era). If you can build a device out of
several stacked sockets or a small circuit board, you can rewire the
pinout between the top and bottom sockets to allow a common 2732 in the
top with a 2532 pinout on the bottom.
