My guess is that most of them are bought by people who care about things
like the original packaging, and will never get built. A great pity, they
were intended to be built, and buildign them is fun.

All I can say is that if I ever got an unassembled Heathkit, the first
thing I'd do is read the manual, the second thing I'd do is build it!
