That does not imply that the reverse is true also. You can still learn
assembly language without knowing anything about CISC or RISC. I think I
know very skilled people who really understand assembly programming, but
have no idea what CISC or RISC means. The way I experienced it was that
RISC suddenly appeared and only by then CISC processors where called
that way.
