I'd put it more strongly.

70% isopropyl is typically "rubbing alcohol" which has all sorts of
weird stuff in it. That may be nice for skin, but not for disks.

I'd use a MINIMUM of 91%, and preferably better. Once in college we
used reagent grade isopropyl alcohol (from the chemistry stock room)
to clean the heads on a 1311 drive (5 platter hard drive) that had
suffered a leak in the head actuator and sprayed hydraulic fluid all
over the system pack...
