Servisol IPA-170 seems to work quite well for all sorts of things - I've used
it to remove thermal compound from heatsinks, clean tape heads, remove solder
flux, that sort of thing. I think it's about 90% pure, "electronics grade" or
something like that. Maplin Electronics sell it for about ?5 per 400ml
aerosol can.
