I should add, this thing sat in a metal shed in the southern Nevada desert
for years, and there was some considerable oxidation formed around the
hard drive enclosure. I'm not sure what the status of the drive is, but I
wouldn't be surprised if moisture got inside the drive itself over time
and affected the head. It's probably melded with the disk platters :(
My brother picked it up for me and delivered it, so I didn't get a chance
to talk with the guy who gave it to me. I do know that it has assembler
source listings for various electronic "games of chance" that he developed
for the Nevada gaming industry. Some of the 8" floppies I got with it
also contain such stuff.
