It works. (Turns out I had my MIC and SPEAKER lines swapped.)
I'm averaging one bad character per line, but it looks good enough for
email on the road. My provider is T-Mobile and I have a "full bar"
signal in York Haven. Maybe I should take my phone and a friend's AT&T
and go try it in York or Harrisburg.
