The bad thing will be if it leaves a sour taste in the estate-liquidator
community and they decide it's useless to deal with 'that old computer
junk' and it again is just dumpstered or recycled.

Things have to be perceived as having worth, or they end up trashed.
'We' (a collecting elite) can't be everywhere saving everything.
Ordinary people need to be involved too.
