Heritage Lines and Rail Museums Connnected
to the U.K. National Network

Introduction

This table lists all heritage rail lines and rail museums in the UK which are connected to the national network; each table is ordered alphabetically by the organization's formal name. (The table prefers the names the organizations themselves use, so that the Watercress Line is listed as the Mid-Hants Railway, although alternative names are given.)

Where available, names are hyper-linked to their web-sites; a link to the Wikipedia entry is also provided (as those are often more informational than the organization's own site).

Lines

An additional column lists the type of connection: 'Frequent' (regular sheduled service), 'Infrequent' (railtours, etc). (Although note that even on rail lines which do not regularly run trains across the boundary, their own service may be time-tabled to match up with service on the national network, e.g. the Bluebell.)
