Unfortunately, no. The Apple 5MB ProFile uses a Seagate ST-506 mechanism;
however, in the Apple tradition, the Seagate logic board is replaced by an
Apple-designed version with an Apple parallel interface. Since the
heads and stepper motor on the ST-506 are connected directly to the Apple
logic board, replacing the mechanism with anything other than another
ST-506 would be difficult.
