This means my RA81 is toast, right?

Here we go... I moved the RA81 to school. Whilst running the RA81
checkout tests in the manual, I get to step 11 of the checkout tests, and
I get the following:

%RA81-TEST: SUBTEST:0F ERROR:D8 UNIT:000
%RA81-FRU-SERVO,HDA

This indicates that the HDA needs replacing
