A really slow link here makes for lousy readying of multiple messages.

Yes, booting and running in "min" mode negates a lot of devices as it's a
minimal mode, obviously. You can add devices from Configure interactively
as well. VMS can do a lot of things that are impossble under winnt/win9x
without reboot but you may not find out how easily. Sysmanagement course
at DEC was over a week of class... there is a reason for that. ;)
