        'CU' in Emulexian (oooh, new language!) usually means a communications
adapter of some sort.

        I suspect what you have is one half of a multiport serial setup.
Unfortunately, with Emulex, the other half is a lot more than just a distro
panel. There's a bunch of electronics in it as well, so you need both
matching halves for that unit to be useful.
