MITS 2SIO serial chip?

The problem is with the fact that the fastest CPU's run at 20 MHz, while the
fastest peripherals only work up to 10 MHz. <sigh> I could live without the
Mode-2 interrupts, but if I'm hot-rodding existing designs, the idea is to use
the existing software. If I've got to use new code, I'd rather use a modern
CPU, e.g. 89C420 (50 MIPS).
