Hi Bob,
I have several PIIIs. I can't find the original disk but I found that
one of the the PIIIs still has Compaq DOS 3 on it so I created a boot disk
on it and loaded the setup files and part of the DOS files on it. I've made
a copy of that disk using Teledisk. I'll e-mail it to you. You'll need a
copy of Teledisk to un-archive it. Do you have a copy? BTW the original
disk is a 1.2Mb 5 1/4" floppy.
If anyone else wants a copy, let me know and send me your address.
FWIW you can run MS-DOS on the PIII but the Compaq setup utilities
wouldn't run unless you're running Compaq DOS. I did find that one of the
other trouble shooting programs (AMIDAIG ?) would run on it and allow you
to edit the CMOS settings.
