For *home*? I first laid hands on an 11/730 when it was current, but
we never drooled over it. Drooled while waiting for it to boot, perhaps...
(That was fixed by a properly built boot cassette - the one from DEC
took about 20 min to seek around and find its stuff).

It's right up there with the MicroVAX-I for speed!

OTOH, it's the second smallest Unibus VAX (the 11/725 is smaller - same
backplane as the 11/730-Z, but in a roll-around box, not a 19" rack),
and you could use one in an office/home setting.
