I have several friends from long ago that walked the other path (I
will try to avoid fresh flames by not mentioning who liked what). We
made a point of *not* discussing our favorite platforms with each other
so we _didn't_ dump our friends, but yes; I remember when things were
that intense. What made it more intense was that we were commercially
involved with our respective platforms; it wasn't just a hobby to us,
as it was with the most vehement flamers.
