Conclusion: Commodore 64 *is* lame!

IIRC, the switch on the rear of the monitor selects the Y/C or composite
inputs. If needed, I'll check the monitor just to be sure. Right now, part
of the house is being remodeled, so the 1702 isn't as easy to get to as
I'd like.
