Possibly! I do take great care with PSUs, though. But I often get
machines where the previous owner has already powered it up several
times to marvel at the flashing lights :-) So, it's usually make
a judgement based in the age and rarity of the machine, and the
probablility of a latent failure. I *don't* just plug 'em in and
hope for the best.
