You can contact Will Jenings and Emanuel Stiebler, with both of whom I've had
several metings, though the overlap in our interests is limited. I've met
Clint Wolff and Hans Franke, but only once, at Emanuel's house.

They probably don't know much about me or my viewpoint, background, or
qualifications.

If there's something you find offensive about my remarks, particularly in this
thread, you aren't required to read 'em. I don't remember ever reading
anyting of interest to me under your signature, so I usually skip 'em. You're
welcome to do the same.

This thread, for the first time that I can remember, since '97(?) has actually
begun to yield some information above the usual MS bashing and and the like
that comes up when a comparison/contrast of the various popular OS' comes up.
There are some people for whom UNIX, or OS/2, Windows, or whatever, is a
religion, and not just a tool. I'm not one of them. I do believe there's a
reason that so many people use Windows, though, and I don't buy that it's just
because they're all stupid.

Now that SOME folks are getting beyond the business of hurling insults just
for the sake of it, I'd like to see whether there is some useful information
that can be extracted from the opinions of folks who know more than I about
any of a number of things. Clearly you don't have anything but snotty
wisecracks to offer, which you've done generously in the past and occasionally
here.

That doesn't offend me but it does puzzle me that you take the time to do it
when you've clearly got no interest in what's germane to the thread, nor have
you anything to contribute. Why bother?

Dick
