The media sells attention. They first have to harvest your attention
and package it in saleable blocks. This is accomplished through
sensationalism and 23 minute recycled mini-plots. Individual
reporters may be ethical. Corporations which pay reporters likely are
not. I fail to see that any of this is news to most of you, but it
never fails to surprise at least a few every time it comes up in
conversation.
