These foam filled plastic cases in the 26XX series were quite brittle
and it does not take much to break them. And when they shatter there
is lots of damage.
This seller is a garage sale type person who needs educated. Sending
the stuff back so she can see is a good idea. She will not get
anywhere with UPS though. It was inadequitely packed. And that needs
to be part of the lesson.
I like the packing expectations previously mentioned.
Newspaper is not a substitute for several layers of bubble wrap and
hard foam, and the keyboard should never go underneath.
If you file feedback on the transaction I would consider neutral with
comments on the inadequate packing. She did refund your money in
total.
Sorry to see the damage and sorry Jay had to suffer through it.
I will keep an eye out for more fo these terminals.
