I don't know about adding twisted-pair capability; I would think you
would need some sort of balun on the card, too. But yes, these cards
can run in NE-2 mode, and are supported by Windows 95, NT, Windows for
Workgroups, and even Linux. Most of my home network is using them in
that mode. I got a bunch cheap when a business here in town switched
to a different setup.
