AFAIK the main difference between the IIGS and Mac RGB monitors is that
the Mac monitor uses a 31 kHz horizontal refresh while the IIGS requires a
15.5 kHz horizontal refresh.

This is what I vaguely recall from older discussions on the list, anyway.
