I wonder if it's specifically the 400k disks that there is a problem
with? You wrote that your IIci worked fine with 400k disks, which is still
more than I had thought, but I wonder if a Quadra would handle a 400k
disk. My Mac collection jumps from a IIsi to a PM8500, with nothing in
between, so I can't try it myself.
